The Labels module prints thermal labels for your preparations: name, BBD, preparation date, preparer and, if you want, the allergens.
Before you start
This module is an option, and it needs a Brother QL-820NWBc printer with 50 mm rolls. The printer must be switched on and connected to the same WiFi network as your tablet or phone. You pick the printer in Label Settings; once it is selected, the screen shows "Printer connected".
Printing only works from the installed app on a tablet or phone, not from a browser.
Your preparations must also be declared in Settings, with their Lifespan (days): that is what automatically calculates the BBD.
Print a label
- From the home screen, tap the Labels tile.
- Tap Select preparation and choose the preparation.
- Check the Preparation date and choose the BBD.
- Fill in the Preparer name.
- Fill in the Number of copies. The Allergens field only appears when Display allergens is enabled in Preparations Settings.
- Tap Print label.
"Print job started" and then "Print job completed" confirm the print.
If the printer is not found
- Check that it is switched on and on the same WiFi as the device.
- Only the QL-820NWBc model is supported; use genuine 50 mm rolls.
- On Android, a Bluetooth connection can be used as a fallback.
- The Print label button stays disabled while no printer is selected.
- The label is printed in the restaurant's language, which can differ from the app's language.
- To show the allergens, enable Display allergens in Preparations Settings, then fill them in on each preparation.
