Record a temperature check

The Temperatures module replaces your paper temperature sheets. Every entry is time-stamped and attributed to the person who made it, ready for an HACCP inspection.

Before you start

Your equipment must be declared first (name, area, minimum and maximum temperature). If the list is empty, the app takes you straight to the settings screen. That screen is protected by the manager's PIN.

Record a check

  1. From the home screen, tap the Temperatures tile.
  2. Check the date at the top. It defaults to today; the calendar lets you go back to an earlier day.
  3. For each piece of equipment, enter the temperature using the + and buttons or by typing it in.
  4. Tap Save. The button confirms the save and then shows who recorded it.

Handle an anomaly

If a value falls outside the allowed range for that equipment, the app shows Anomaly detected.

  1. Tap Correct.
  2. Select one or more corrective actions: Defrost, Maintenance, Products moved, Products destroyed or Other.
  3. Tap Validate.

The corrective action is stored with the record — that is what proves the deviation was dealt with.

Good to know

  • How often checks are required (once or twice a day) is set in the module settings.
  • If your site has several areas, the selector at the top filters the equipment shown.
  • Depending on your settings, going back to a past date may require the manager's PIN.
